The Women’s Art Library presents a display of the project 'Who's Holding the Baby?' a slide kit created by the feminist action group of the 1970s, the Hackney Flashers as a consciousness raising guide.

Curated by Dr. Hazel Frizell, the show features a narrated digital slide show and ephemera dating from the 1970s highlighting issues around childcare. This show coincides with two current exhibitions (organized by Studio Voltaire) about Jo Spence co-founder of the Hackney Flashers. A digital slide show has been created from the original slide kit and narrated by Holly Black according to the accompanying booklet aimed at consciousness raising group sessions addressing the importance of childcare provisions. Proposals to respond to this exhibition are very welcome as teaching sessions and group meetings in the study space can be arranged.
