PhD Student Mizuka Yamamoto performs works for violin and electronics by Boulez and Nono.

Pierre Boulez : 'Anthèmes 2' for violin and real-time devices
Luigi Nono: 'La Lontananza Nostalgica Utopica Futura' for violin and 8-channel speakers

Tom Mudd and Mizuka Yamamoto has performed 'Anthèmes 2' in last few years, in CME concert at Goldsmiths; the DRHA Conference at Brunel University; and at Sonic Artists in Wales at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Mizuka has studied as a PhD student under a supervision of Professor Roger Redgate at Goldsmiths. Violin works of Boulez, Cage and Nono as research subjects, her study compares compositional styles and performance techniques among the contemporary violin repertoires in a historical context. Her research interests are performance practice, electro-acoustic music, notation and recording analysis.
