Can algorithms save the world? A dynamic area of social innovation is the use of computing to tackle intractable social & environmental issues. These projects often lack an institutional welcome and see the startup route as a way to sustainability. But can we really blend Silicon Valley and social good?

Our panel will include Bethnal Green Ventures (http://bethnalgreenventures.com/) who have been given a £1.8 million investment in funding to accelerate tech startups for 'stuff that matters'. There will be a chance after the debate to pitch ideas directly to members of the Bethnal Green Ventures team.

Join the debate at Goldsmiths College, University of London on Thursday 25th April, 6-8pm. To be sure of a place, please register on our eventbrite http://techstartupsforsocialgood.eventbrite.co.uk/
