Triple bill featuring live performances from three unique sound artists.

An evening concert of sound art – developed using a mixture of electronic and acoustic approaches.

ROBERT CURGENVEN spans immersive resonances via turntables and custom-made vinyl, instrumental harmonics, pipe organ and tone generators through to carefully detailed field recordings from remote areas where he lived for many years. He draws on the physicality of sound - not just the physical impact on the body but the way in which the auditory can shape our perception of space and the flow of time. The Wire surmises that “behind the music lurks such [disparate] presences as Alvin Lucier, King Tubby, Murray Schafer and Eliane Radigue.” Over the past ten years Curgenven has performed at festivals and venues across Europe and Australia as well as releasing on labels such as LINE, The Tapeworm and Winds Measure.

KOSTIS KILYMIS is an artist focusing on audio feedback systems and representation. His practice touches upon music, installation work and video – developed using a mixture of electronic and acoustic approaches. In performance, he has collaborated with various musicians such as Lucio Capece, Nikos Veliotis, Leif Elggren, Sarah Hughes and Patrick Farmer. He also maintains ongoing projects in Syndromes and Syndromes Sister Overdrive [w/Giannis Kotsonis] and runs the Organized Music from Thessaloniki music label. He has exhibited work in Athens and Oxford, and is currently based in London, UK.

Primarily concerned with the sound of things, LEE PATTERSON attempts to understand elements of his surroundings and culture through the act of listening with both the aided and the naked ear. The related use of sound recording as a method to educate perception has led to a variety of projects scattered across various disciplines, including collaborations with Luke Fowler, David Toop, Rhodri Davies, Lucio Capece and Vanessa Rossetto amongst others.

His solo and collaborative works have appeared on UK TV, BBC Radios 3 and 4, Resonance FM and on radio stations worldwide.
