“Histories, Theories and Practices of Sound Art” is a three-day event bringing together practitioners and theoreticians on sound art and curating.

Chairs: Lanfranco Aceti(Goldsmiths, University of London), Janis Jefferies (Goldsmiths, University of London), Morten Søndergaard (Aalborg University) and Julian Stallabrass(The Courtauld Institute of Art)

Keynote Speakers: Chris Allen (Creative Director, The Light Surgeons), Barbara London (Associate Curator, Department of Media and Performance Art, MoMa), and Atau Tanaka (Professor of Media Computing, Goldsmiths, University of London)

Conference Organizers: James Bulley, John Drever, Jonathan Munro, Irene Noy and Ozden Sahin

With the participation and support of the Unit for Sound Practice Research at Goldsmiths, University of London, led by John Levack Drever and the Sonics Research special interest group at Goldsmiths, University of London, co-chaired by Julian Henriques.

The event is supported by LARM, Kasa Gallery, Goldsmiths, University of London, the Courtauld Institute of Art and Sabanci University.
