The day will have a special focus on the use of CAT in LD services including service-user presentations on their experiences of CAT.

Provisional Programme:
The day will have a special focus on the use of CAT in LD services including service-user presentations on their experiences of CAT. The recently published book - Cognitive Analytic Therapy for people with intellectual disabilities and their carers, edited by Julie Lloyd and Philip Clayton - will be launched at the conference. Julie and Philip will also undertake an interactive session on live mapping of LD services.

Topics will include:
• CAT in groups (Nicola Murphy)
• Death by indifference and using CAT to stand up for human rights (Emily Handley, Beth Greenhill & Kieron Beard)
• Compassionate Care post Francis/Winterbourne (Jo Varela)
• Rights vs abuse – using a multiple states model to understand risk management (Hilary Brown)
• Working with staffs teams (Valentina Pezza)
