Getting Started with Learn.Gold is the first in a series of related workshops focusing on enhancing the student experience through the effective use of learning technologies.

This workshop is a two-hour, activity-based session that equips participants with the core VLE skills they need to set up and curate student-centred course areas in learn.gold.

The workshop is suitable for both teaching and administrative staff that are new to or inexperienced with the VLE, and serves as the bedrock for more advanced use of the VLE and other learning technologies such as Mahara and Big Blue Button.

The workshop is delivered in accordance with three key principles: structure, skills and settings. Participants will have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills for adjusting course layout, image and text manipulation, changing enrolment settings, and so on.

Bring along a course area for which you are currently responsible and work on that, or we can provide a dummy one for you.
