‘Movement’ - Solo guitar and soundscapes by Dávid Somló
In the last years as a solo guitarist I worked frequently with movement artists and in unusual spaces. During these experiences my approach to my instrument slowly transformed into something new. The relation between the physical state of me and mover started to dictate rhythm and composition. The space and ambience defined the dynamics and the atmosphere of my improvisations.
These experiences lead to my first solo guitar album 'Movement'. The first part of the album I recorded in five nights in Budapest, in five different abandoned spaces. The second part I will record this summer in a rural residency in Portugal.
In this concert I will improvise over the soundscape of these recordings.
