Event overview
Anarchism and the Postcolonial Turn
The intersection of anarchist and postcolonial studies has given rise to a series of academic works investigating the spread, reception and interchange of anarchist ideas and methods in the Global South during the period of Classical Anarchism and Anarchism since 1945. But to what extent was Classical Anarchism an alternative form of Eurocentrism? In what ways did forms of anarchism in the Global South before and after 1945 shape European anarchism? Approaches to epistemology, ideology and praxis seem to link postcolonialism with postanarchism, but to what extent is this a valid conclusion?
