Acclaimed authors Bernardine Evaristo and Andrea Stuart join Joan Anim-Addo and Deirdre Osborne to discuss their work and the facts and fictions of histories and herstories.

In writing that spans prose fiction, biography, verse novels and memoir, Bernardine Evaristo and Andrea Stuart highlight and reveal unexpected angles to the complex stories of black people’s cultural heritages in Britain. In conversation together, and with the Convenors of the new MA Black British Writing, they discuss the roles of women writers in reforming, the subject-matter and perspectives on literature. Both authors will also read from their work - with audience Q&A an important part of the evening.
