Richard Sisson gives an open session on "Counterpoint - the heart of musical invention" as part of Music Week

Richard Sisson, the multi-talented composer, musician, writer, comedian and cabaret artist Richard Sisson will be holding a session at 1.30pm entitled: "Counterpoint – the heart of musical invention".

This will be a 2 hour workshop for students interested in composition: an exploration of the idea of textural, harmonic, rhythmic and ideological counterpoint in music. Session includes improvisation and analysis, and is open to all to observe, no need to book.

Richard Sisson is a pianist and composer. As well as concert works, he has composed extensively for the theatre. He was also part of the cabaret double-act Kit and The Widow.
