This evening's concert has been cancelled, the talk will still be taking place at 5pm.

The Crystal Lyre award winners Devorina Gamalova and Krassimir Taskov will present a Bulgarian programme and their new CD of treasured classics for violin and piano, following on from Professor Taskov's Music Research Series lecture earlier in the afternoon.

DIMITAR NENOV (1901 – 1953): Miniatures for Piano: Prelude, Song, Staccato, Pastoral and Bagpipe and Dance

PETAR CHRISTOSKOV (1917-2006): Short toccata” for Violin Solo from 12 caprices

KRASSIMIR TASSKOV: “Ruines” for Piano from the cycle “Five Archaic Pictures”

SHOSTAKOVICH (1906-1975): Romance from the film “Gadfly”, arranged for Viola and Piano by D. Gamalova

MARIN GOLEMINOV (1908-2000): Little Suite for Viola Solo: Ballade, Tongue-twister, Maiden’s lament, Gadularska

KRASSIMIR TASSKOV: Homage to R.Schumann for solo Piano

PANCHO VLADIGEROV (1899-1978): “Song” from the Bulgarian Suite, Op. 21

DE FALLA (1876 -1946)/KREISLER (1875 – 1962): Spanish Dance for Violin and Piano
