Politics Department research seminar

This event is part of the Politics department research seminar series. Final year PhD student, Philipp Jeandree will talk about his thesis focusing on developing a theoretical approach towards the political potency of images that recognises contemporary practices of visual art (photography and film in particular) as creative, affective and speculative modes of political thinking.

Philipp has an MA from the University of Freiburg (Germany) with a thesis on the 9/11 terrorist attacks and its image politics in Western news outlets and popular culture.

All research students and staff welcome!
