The Man Whose Mind Exploded - film show + Q&A with Director Toby Amies

Drako Oho Zaraharzar can remember modelling for Salvador Dali and hanging out with The Stones. But he can’t remember yesterday. This “beautifully intimate and utterly unique piece of cinema” gained 4 star reviews from The Times, The Guardian and The Independent in the UK.

Filmed over four years, The Man Whose Mind Exploded attempts to understand and accept the worldview of someone with serious brain damage, and it resonates for anyone who’s tried to care for someone who may not be great at caring for themselves.

Director Toby Amies is a filmmaker, photographer and broadcaster who has made documentaries and programmes for BBC2, Channel 4, Film Four, Sky Arts, Radio 4, MTV and HBO. His award-winning photography has appeared in The Guardian, The Telegraph, ID and The Miami Herald. He was the winner of the Dali Award at the 1999 International Surrealist Film Festival.

This special FORUM screening is free and open to all.
