Event overview
Join Associate Pro Warden Sue Dixon during our Health & Wellbeing Days as she dispels some of the myths surrounding eating disorders and offers practical ways to support yourself or your friends.
How do we define an 'eating disorder?' It’s all over magazines & the media. It means something different to all of us, but do we feel able to talk about it without stigma or know where to go for help for ourselves or for a friend?
The session will be split as follows:
•10am-11am: Book a 10 minute confidential session with Sue where you can ask advice about where to get help or how to help a friend.
•11am-11.30am: Drop in session. No need to book
•11.30am-12.30pm: A practical open forum exploring ways of managing challenging situations including social events, bingeing, asking for help
Sue works voluntarily as part of the BEAT self-help network and is group facilitator for the Central London Group. She is also a qualified psychodynamic and psychotherapeutic counsellor.
