Recent sonic art from Goldsmiths’ Electronic Music Studios presented in the Sonics Immersive Media Lab (SIML) at St James Church.

Featuring works by MMus, Undergrad Phonography and Sonic Art students, and recent MMus grads.

Composed by Sam Gillies, John Garcia Rueda, Matthew Lawrenson, Emmanuel Spinelli, Meltem Yazar, Laura Clough, Rodrigo Camacho, Ingrid Plum and Eva Kára.

The Sonics Immersive Media Lab (SIML) space is a brand new facility with surround projection and sound capabilities.

The Stanley Glasser Electronic Music Studios were established in 1968 by composer, instrument maker and musicologist Hugh Davies and comprise a suite of working areas for undergraduate & postgraduate students wishing to explore the creative potential of studio equipment & audio software in relation to composition, live electronics, interactive performance, sound-art, acoustic ecology and sonic research.

The EMS supports the Contingent Events concert series, the Unit for Sound Practice Research (SPR), and is a member of the Live Algorithms for Music research network.

Free. All welcome.
