A panel discussion on the BANK art collective (1991-2003) featuring former members and collaborators. Inspired by an exhibition file from Goldsmiths Special Collections & Archives.

A special edition of monthly discussion series objects (in)sight as a part of Radical New Cross, THE BANK FILE will focus on the notorious BANK art collective as they steamrolled their way through London's art world from 1991-2003. Using material from the BANK exhibition file from Special Collections & Archives file as a guide, the discussion will chart the group’s origins on Lewisham Way through to the infamy of later group shows such as Zombie Golf (1995) and Press Release (1999).

Featuring:
Simon Bedwell (Former BANK member, Lecturer in Fine Art)
John Cussans (Artist, Visual Cultures Visiting Research Fellow)
Aida Wilde (Women’s Art Library Artist in Residence)
Ego Ahaiwe (Women’s Art Library Artist in Residence)

Chair: Jack Mulvaney

Followed by drinks reception featuring BANK ephemera.

objects (in)sight: THE BANK FILE is a part of Radical New Cross: Protest and dissent 1875 – 2015 & Being Human festival, a series of free public events taking place across Goldsmiths from 12-15 November. For more details visit: http://www.gold.ac.uk/radical-new-cross/
