Contingent Events is pleased to present Helen Papaioannou's 'Metal Clay', performed by percussionists Renzo Spiteri and Michael Speers.

Also featuring:
-- O Yama O (Rie Nakajima and Keiko Yamamoto) with Billy Stiegler
-- Tom Wheatley (double bass)
-- An improvised percussion set from Spiteri/Speers

Tom Wheatley plays to open the bass – sonically and physically, musically and surgically - as to open suppressed musics. He is actively involved in new music communities of London and elsewhere, playing with Seymour Wright, Hebronix, Eddie Prévost, John Edwards, CYNTHIA, Mark Sanders, Billy Steiger, Denis D'or, Ute Kanngiesser and many others.

An internationally respected experimental electronic artist, composer and musician, Renzo shares his work base between the United Kingdom and Malta, while his own projects and collaborations with artists in all genres of artistic expression take him to different countries around the world.

Michael Speers is a musician/composer/percussionist from Northern Ireland, currently based in London. He uses feedback as the basis for most of his practice, taking influence from noise and electronic music, instrumental improv and drone.
