Talk from Director of China Design Centre London and Exhibiting artist at London Craft Week about promoting Chinese art and design and working internationally

Goldsmiths CI will be inviting speakers into to talk to students about possible future opportunities in, with and about China. This includes graduate opportunities in Education and business, international experience, cultural insights etc.

They are coming to speak about their experience and different opportunities working around or with Chinese industry and give their own personal stories working in these differing industries as well as answer any questions you may have.

Jack Qu - Director of China Design Centre in London
As one of the official partners of London Craft Week 2016, and exhibiting exciting work as part of this, China Design Centre has a keen focus on promoting collaboration in art and design between China and Britain. Jack will be talking to student about this and how artists are working internationally and his personal experiences of promoting art and design.

Caroline Cheng - Chinese Artist, exhibiting at London Craft Week 2016
Caroline Cheng of the Pottery Workshop, has invited young artisans to talk and exhibit at London Craft Week who are making work that reaches beyond tradition in Jingdezhen, China’s 1000-year-old porcelain capital. Caroline will talk about this project and how the collaboration and working in the UK has been in preparation of her coming work.

Caroline's work will be on view at the British Museum in November 2017.
