Join our weekly Innovation Lecture Series: Meet Bebhinn Treanor, one of the world's leading researchers seeking a vaccine for HIV.

Behbinn is one of the world's leading researchers seeking a vaccine for HIV. Despite extensive efforts over the last thirty years, development of an effective vaccine has not been achieved. One of the major challenges to developing a vaccine is that HIV has a very high rate of mutation, and thus can rapidly alter structures on its surface and consequently escape detection by the immune system. Behbinn's work seeks to overcome the challenges of producing a HIV vaccine by combining innovations in molecular engineering and nanotechnology to design and test a novel HIV vaccine platform.
