Innovation Lecture Series: Meet Mike, founder of the company behind the Oscar winning visual effects for Gravity, Golden Compass and more.

Mike McGee is co-founder and Chief Creative Officer for post-production feature film and advertising studio Framestore. Under Mike’s leadership Framestore has won two Academy Awards for Visual Effects including the Golden Compass and Gravity alongside nominations for Guardians of the Galaxy, the Dark Knight and Superman Returns.

Mike also won an Emmy Award for his work with the BBC on Walking with Dinosaurs. In advertising the team has also won all the major awards including Cannes Lions, British Television Advertising Awards, Clios, D&AD and many more.

Mike’s skills as a live-action director are welded to an exceptional understanding of visual effects. Having worked in the industry for over 25 years, Mike is highly awarded in his field and his eye for detail is unrivalled.
