Spread the Word and Goldsmiths Present the Life Writing Prize

This special evening will celebrate the inaugural year of the Life Writing Prize. Judged by Goldsmiths' very own Blake Morrison with Katy Massey and Margaret Stead, the national Life Writing Prize for emerging life writers saw 700 entries in the Prize's first year.

Come along to hear readings from the longlisted writers, the announcement of this year's Prize results and have a celebratory drink afterwards.

The event will be BSL interpreted.

Please note: Photography will be taking place at this event.

The Life Writing Prize is managed by Spread the Word with partnership support from Goldsmiths, University of London, the Royal Society of Literature and Arvon.

About Spread the Word
Spread the Word is London’s writer development organisation, helping London’s writers make their mark on the page, the screen and in the world. They kick start the careers of London’s best new writers, and energetically campaign to ensure mainstream publishing trust reflects the diversity of the city. They do this by supporting the creative and professional development of talent, by engaging those already interested in literature and those who will be, and by advocating on behalf of both. https://www.spreadtheword.org.uk/
