Please join us for an evening of conversation about eating disorders and the road to recovery with the UK's leading eating disorders charity, Beat.
In the UK 1.25 million people have an eating disorder.
Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses that are poorly understood. They are not ‘diets gone wrong’, narcissistic, fads or phases, but illnesses that can take over your life and cause devastating consequences for those suffering and the people that care for them.
But recovery is achievable.
Please join us for an evening of conversation about this topic, and to hear one of Beats inspirational Ambassadors speak about their own experiences, showing that there can be an end to the pain and suffering caused by these mental illnesses.
The talk will be facilitated by Beat, and will include plenty of time for audience questions and discussion about the issue.
This event is running alongside several related talks which are all being held in support of Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2018. In putting on this series of events, we hope to open up the conversation about a widely misunderstood issue, to break down common stereotypes and address the stigma around eating disorders. We also want to provide key information and practical tools with which to approach this issue, and to create a safe, supportive environment in which anyone can access the right advice and support.
