Lack & Excess is a [not-to-be-missed] event for anyone curious about creative sociological research on waste, trash and pollution.

Using inventive sensory methods, the exhibited works will look at a range of social issues through hitherto-ignored perspectives on waste.

Themes will include homelessness, unwanted emotions, subversive aesthetics, pigeons, anti-depressants, digital memory, noise, act of forgetting, popular music, grimy Shisha spaces, nuclear sites, drunkenness, burial practices.

Come by to view, discuss and imagine new ways to contemplate our society.

---------------------------

Open: 5pm-9pm
Drinks: lots (first come, first serve)
Fun: lots (though not guaranteed)

Lack & Excess is organised by Goldsmiths's MA Visual Sociology department.
