Join Goldsmiths College in welcoming back filmmakers Jane Pollard & Iain Forsyth for a special screening of their critically acclaimed film "Broken English" followed by a Q&A.
Directed by BAFTA nominees and Goldsmiths alumni Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, Broken English is a portrait of Marianne Faithfull, starring Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, Nick Cave, Suki Waterhouse and Courtney Love. Drawing on interviews, archival material and Faithfull’s final recorded performance, this genre-defying documentary traces a life shaped by fame and reinvention. Across 6 decades and 35+ albums, Faithfull is one of the most distinctive voices of her generation, whose work continues to inspire.
