Title: The color of achievement and sexual motivation

Abstract:
Color is typically thought of in terms of aesthetics. I have developed a model of color and psychological functioning that views color as a context-specific signal that triggers important motivational processes and associated behavior. In my talk, I will overview the model, and then present supportive data from experiments on the color red in two domains, the achievement domain, and the sexual domain.
