Event overview
This workshop, will be led by Sheelagh Hill (an excellent facilitator) who has worked in Higher Education for 25 years, of which the last twelve were as Head of Staff Development at Brunel University. She now works freelance.
What is 'good' performance and how do we help people to develop and perform well in their role?
Managing performance, universally, is one of the most important responsibilities for any manager – from a small office-based group to an international football team.
Experienced, or not so experienced; qualified or developed ‘on the job’; all colleagues who manage others will benefit from this opportunity to reflect upon the issues and review practice in a supportive way with other workshop participants.
The workshop will explore skills and techniques to manage performance in the stages leading up to and following the Performance & Development Review (PDR). We will consider how to motivate, how to deal with behaviours that we may perceive as challenging and what good practice looks like in practice!
Who is this workshop for?
Any manager who feels they would benefit from being able to explore solutions to current problems, drawing on the collective experience of the participants and the workshop leader, based on a range of good practice techniques.
See below for further details of the workshop and the booking form.
