[MSc CGE Seminar] James Peacock from Rebellion

Alumnus (MSc CGE, 2010) and computer games programmer James Peacock returns home to tell us his story from Goldsmiths to Oxford, and how he enjoys making games at Rebellion.

Rebellion is the award-winning independent video games developer behind Aliens vs. Predator and the forthcoming Sniper Elite V2. It produces innovative videogame products of the highest quality, with solid links to comic and book content - to ultimately ensure that the final consumer experience is as exciting as possible.

Topics to be covered include: Why I chose an Internship. Alternatives to an Internship. How I got the job (what companies like Rebellion expect from applicants). What I have experienced in my 2 years at Rebellion. How the MSc CGE course has prepared me for a life in the industry. What can you (the audience) expect from a junior programmer role. (What I have done). SniperV2 (video demonstration and discussion). My advice to current students (How can I best advise students on how to prepare for a career in the industry). Applying for a role at Rebellion.
