Wendy Lanchin, Planning & Strategy Director, The Marketing Store

Wendy’s career has spanned both the client and agency world.
She trained initially on the account handling side at DMB&B, moved into planning at FCB, & subsequently worked at both McCann Erickson & Publicis as a planning director.

She was the first Head of Marketing for Channel 4 TV, responsible for all corporate & consumer communications and prior to joining The Marketing Store, was Director of Marketing & Communications at The Design Council.

Her experience has covered retail, service, travel and FMCG clients, including such brands as British Airways, American Express, Asda, Cadbury, Vodafone and Nestle. Work for these clients has spanned strategic brand positioning, in- store communications and ATL campaigns.

Since joining The Marketing Store in 2009, Wendy has been responsible for building the agency’s first multi-disciplinary planning department and has instigated a programme of thought leadership including a pan- European survey of children’s lives and aspirations – A New Definition of Childhood and a ground-breaking study on the impact of emotions on the customer journey – The Emotional Shopper, and a study on the Future of Shopping.
