Gareth Edwards - Founder & Tech Director of Stargate-Resources
Lecture by the Mathemator with Q+A on 3D graphics and imaging as it is used today in industry (architecture, surveillance, CAD/CAM, etc.).
The lecture will be in two parts: part 1 (intro) will be in our games lab (Hatcham House, 19 St-James Street, 3rd floor), from 14h to 15h. Then we will be next door in the Ben Pimlott Building (with the ribbon sculpture) in the Lecture Hall (ground floor) from 3pm.

Industrial 3D Real-Time Maths and Graphics
Part 1 to be focused around: creative technologies (Film and TV),
Part 2: computational geometry for Architecture.
Gareth has a long experience in SFX (special effects), games programming (OpenGL, DirectX & CPU/GPU included) and engineering applications. He has also worked for some of the leading SFX studios in the USA and the UK.
