Simon Bennett, Director at Roll7

Roll7 are an indie studio based in New Cross. Over the last 4 years they have moved from creating bespoke health games and applications towards creating their own original IP games. Roll7 have worked with NeuroSky to create ground breaking brain-controlled games such as FocusPocus as well as collaborating with Goldsmiths University on a cutting edge music analysis engine for games.

Since last year, roll7 have been developing their own IP games. Their first release was puzzle-platformer Gets to the Exit (available on iOS), which received critical acclaim, including an 8/10 review in Oct12 issue of EDGE magazine.

They are currently developing 3 titles – Sony Entertainment Europe are publishing OlliOlli, a procedurally generated pixel art skateboarding game for the Playstation VITA and Playstation Network. They are also developing BeatFighter, a rhythm based beat-em-up game that allows players to fight along to any track in their iTunes Library. Later in the year they will also be continuing development of Ur Not A Hero, and ultra violent Platform shoot-em-up. The early alpha of Ur Not A Hero has already received write ups in PC Gamer and IndieGames.com

Simon Bennett is Director of Roll7 and currently producing an exclusive title for PS Vita (skateboarding related). Simon created indie games studio Roll7 with John Ribbins and Tom Hegarty in 2008 after the release of Channel4's anti-knife-crime game Dead Ends.
