The inaugural U3A Lunchtime Lecture series sees Frank Bond from the Institute of Management Studies explain how psychology can improve quality of life.

Over the past 20 years, psychological theory and research have examined not only how better to understand and treat psychological distress but also how to help people live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

This talk will discuss this work and provide practical advice and guidance as how best to approach difficult thoughts, memories and urges that can often get in the way of pursuing directions in our lives that are important to us.

Frank Bond is Professor of Psychology and Management at Goldsmiths, University of London. His research and practice focus on Acceptance and Commitment Theory and psychological flexibility.
