An evening of poetry in solidarity with #blackpoetspeakout in the US and the 'We can't breathe' movement.

It is also an evening in remembrance of those who have suffered at the hands of the authorities in the UK – men like David Oluwale, the first black man known to have died whilst in police custody in 1969, and others since him, such as Jimmy Mubenga. Like Eric Garner, Mr Mubenga was heard to say, "I can't breathe". Poets include: SPecial Guest, Michael Datcher with Dorothea Smartt,Patricia Foster, Gemma Weekes,Tolu Agbelusi and MC Kadija Sesay. We also mark the 50th anniversary since Malcolm X's death and his legacy.
