This is a UKRI cross-council funding scheme that supports early career researchers, with outstanding potential, to tackle challenging research and develop their own careers.

Funding is available for up to seven years, ranging from £300,000 to over £2 million.

Applicants do not need to hold a PhD and there are no eligibility rules based on the number of years since PhD or on whether applicants currently hold a permanent or open-ended academic position or job role. Further information can be found on the UKRI’s website.

How to Apply

Goldsmiths is capped by UKRI at submitting 3 applications to Round 9 of the Future Leaders Fellowship scheme. We are therefore operating an internal selection process to determine the applications which will receive institutional endorsement.
