Disability support for offer holders

Primary page content

If you have been made an offer of a place to study at Goldsmiths and you have declared a disability, there are some steps to follow to register for disability support.

The steps you should take differ based on whether you've accepted your offer to study here, or whether you've received an offer to study but not yet accepted it.

Please follow these steps as soon as possible and before the start of your course to avoid delays in getting the support you require:

1. Email us your evidence

In order to receive Universal Reasonable Adjustments such as deadline extensions, we require you to provide evidence of your long-term health condition, disability or Specific Learning Difficulty. Please email this to disability@gold.ac.uk

2. Apply for funded support (for example for software or equipment, a study skills tutor or mentor)

If you are a UK national and/or have lived in the UK for at least five years prior to starting your university course, please apply for the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). You can watch this video for information about the DSA and the application process.

3. Book an appointment with a Disability Adviser if you need to

If you are not eligible for the DSA please book an appointment with a Disability Adviser.

If you require anything further than the standard set of Universal Reasonable Adjustments (for example if you need to use a computer in exams, or are unsure about what you require) please book an appointment with a Disability Adviser.

Please contact the Disability Team if you have any questions: disability@gold.ac.uk
