Course description

We provide 3 different levels for intermediate Mandarin Chinese classes

  • Intermediate 1 develops your ability to express opinions, describe experiences, and talk about daily life in more detail. You’ll expand your vocabulary and use more flexible sentence structures. This level also introduces longer listening passages and short reading texts.
  • Intermediate 2 focuses on discussing social themes and expressing clearer, more structured opinions. You will learn to talk about culture, habits, health, learning, travel, and more, while refining sentence complexity and listening comprehension.
  • Intermediate 3 strengthens your ability to communicate with depth and nuance. You will explore topics such as family expectations, work changes, lifestyle pressures, and society. The level prepares you for advanced study with more complex listening and reading.

Upon successful completion of Mandarin Chinese Intermediate, students will have a good understanding of Chinese Grammar and sentence structure and begin to form more complex sentences in conversation.

  • Learn how to hold simple conversations in Chinese
  • Learn more grammar patterns
  • Practice in a supportive environment
