Joanne's work centres around collaborative methods of exploring complex histories and narratives told by women.

Joanne Wardrop is an artist and educator with a specialist background in Applied Arts. Her work centres around collaborative methods of exploring complex histories narratives told by women. She is interested in diary writing, lived experiences of the female body, craft, the art of fixing, and historic relationships between women and land.

She has worked on projects and exhibitions in collaboration with the Pitt Rivers Museum, the National Trust, the Wellcome Collection, the National Maritime Museum, Pratt Institute NY, and Marseille Capital Culture. Joanne has been a lecturer in Design at Goldsmiths since 2013 and has also taught at the Royal College of Art on Jewellery and Metalwork.
