About the Goldsmiths Writers' Centre
We encourage new writing, stimulate debate about all forms of literature, and to create links between the different parts of the college where creative writing takes place.

The Goldsmiths Writers’ Centre, under the directorship of Tom Lee and Amy Sackville, exists to encourage new writing, to stimulate debate about all forms of literature, and create links between the different parts of the college where creative writing takes place.
About the Centre
Since its inauguration in 2013, the Centre has hosted hundreds of readings and discussions focused on contemporary fiction, with James Kelman, Geoff Dyer, Ali Smith, Deborah Levy, Bernardine Evaristo and many others.
The Writers’ Centre is a community - of students, of staff, of fellows, and of visiting authors, from different disciplines, all of whom have different skills and experiences to share.
That community also includes partners such as Poetry London, Granta Magazine and the Oxford Centre for Life Writing. Over the past 25 years Goldsmiths has become a major hub for creative writing of all kinds, and the writers centre is here to nurture and continue that work.
