Ken Jones
Ken is the Head of Department in Educational Studies.
Before working at Goldsmiths he taught English in London secondary schools for 15 years, and worked at the Institute of Education, and at Keele University.
His main research interests are in education policy, and the relationship between educational and cultural practice.
Research interests
Ken's research interests include the study of education policy as ‘contested ground’, and cultural perspectives on education. ‘Schooling in Western Europe: the new order and its adversaries’ was co-written with colleagues from several other European countries, and published by Palgrave in 2008. (Italian and Spanish editions 2009). ‘Culture and Creative Learning', a literature review, was written for Creative Partnerships in 2009.Selected publications
