Goldsmiths warmly welcomes students from Pakistan. There are currently around 15 Pakistani students studying on Goldsmiths’ undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.

What are they studying?

Students from Pakistan are following a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree subjects. Popular subjects include Art, Media and Communications, Anthropology, Psychology, and History.

Students from Pakistan are also eligible to join our study abroad programme - ‘Study in London’, which gives international students the opportunity to live, study and socialise with Goldsmiths’ undergraduate students for one or two terms, or the full academic year and transfer their credit back to their home university. You can also be admitted as a postgraduate student.

Goldsmiths offers courses in a wide range of study areas, including art & design, anthropology, creative & cultural entrepreneurship, computing, cultural studies, education, English & linguistics, drama, history, media & communications, music, politics, psychology, sociology, social work and visual cultures.

All applications are usually considered on individual merit and we accept a wide range of qualifications from all over the world.  Please check the most common entry requirements for Pakistan here.

Local representatives in Pakistan

We currently do not have any representatives in Pakistan. If you need a little extra help and advice, please contact the International Office.


Fees and Funding

Goldsmiths has a series of scholarships for international students applying for postgraduate and research programmes. Postgraduate students may also be eligible for the Alumni Discounts Scheme. There are also several scholarship schemes available specifically for students in Pakistan, including Shared Commonwealth Scholarship, Chevening Scholarships and others.

Visits to Pakistan

The International Office team visits many countries worldwide several times a year to take part in the British Council events, attend higher education events, deliver presentations, interview potential applicants and meet with local alumni.

Pakistani community in London 

Britain’s Pakistani community is one of the oldest and largest Pakistani communities outside of Pakistan, with over 100,000 people living in London. London’s Pakistani community is mainly Muslim, with some Christians.

London caters for members of nearly all Asian faiths, and celebrates all of the major religious festivals, including Eid. It is home to the largest mosque in western Europe, The Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden, south London.

South Asian Society at Goldsmiths

Goldsmiths Student’s Union is proud to have its own South Asian Society, open to any nationality interested in South Asia, its culture, people, music, food and language. The society seeks to raise awareness of Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani cultures and organizes regular events. Please visit Goldsmiths Sout Asian Society’s facebook group for more information.

South East London 

Goldsmiths is located in New Cross, South East London, just 15 minutes to central London by train. Vibrant, urban and with great transport connections to Central London, it's an ideal base for experiencing and enjoying the capital.

There are many shops selling South Asian food (including halal) and South Asian restaurants in Deptford Market just ten miuntes walk from the main campus buildings.
