Vero is a designer, researcher, editor and writer. Her design practice examines critical gender theory.
Vero’s design practice examines and engages with critical gender theory, exploring and reconfiguring the relationships between theory and practice. She uses design as a vehicle to investigate narratives of identity, the body, and power within timely cultural contexts. Her work particularly focuses on Chinese culture, critical gender theory, and media.
Alongside her design and academic research, she also works as a staff writer, editor, and translator, specialising in design, fashion, and art for international magazines, online platforms, and publications.

Teaching and supervision
Vero is a Lecturer in Design, currently teaches MA Design Expanded Practice and leads the Fashions and Embodiment Studio.

Professional projects
Vero was a founding managerial member of the Chinese edition of The New York Times Style Magazine. As both a freelance and staff writer, she has contributed to numerous renowned international publications, including Wallpaper*, Numéro, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Vice, Kinfolk, Drift, City Magazine, Q Magazine, Men’s Health, Art Bank, Artinfo, and others.
