Mark's pursuits encompass integrated communications, reputation management, as well as teaching and education.

Mark is a skilled academic and former marketing/PR professional with over a decade of experience in integrated communications, both in-house and agency-side. He also has a strong background in teaching and learning, coupled with extensive industry experience, particularly in the travel/tourism and lifestyle sectors. Prior to joining Goldsmiths in the autumn of 2023, Mark spent three academic years as a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Teaching and supervision

As a Lecturer at Goldsmiths, Mark is a Fellow of Higher Education (FHEA) and a Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE), involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in management and marketing. Additionally, he serves as the Module Convener for various subjects, including Marketing Communications, Product Innovation and Management, and Developing Business Skills. He also acts as an Advisor/Supervisor for both undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. Furthermore, he holds responsibilities such as Deputy Programme Director and Recruitment & Conversions Coordinator for undergraduate Management/Marketing programmes within the IMS.

Research interests

Mark's academic endeavors center on teaching and learning, covering pedagogically relevant topics like academic identity, case study development, authentic assessment, the cultivation of business skills, and fostering student success.
