To achieve the learning outcomes, students on all programmes experience a range of teaching/learning methods, including formal lectures, lab classes, workshops, seminars, one-to-one supervision, and professional training.

Research

We have a unique vision of computing research as an interdisciplinary set of practices, methods and techniques.

Our research is broken up into four very broad areas: Algorithmics, Quantum Informatics and Financial Technology; Data Science; Human and Computer Interaction; Computation and Creativity.

We remain one of the UK’s leading institutions for creative code, attracting the finest academics in the field.
