Course description
Mongolian Dance
This course is grounded in the Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance teaching material system of the Beijing Dance Academy and centers on traditional and representative Mongolian movement combinations.
Through systematic training in movement principles, dynamics, rhythm, and the cultural context unique to Mongolian dance, students are guided to experience the authentic qualities and cultural depth of Mongolian dance.
The course aims to bridge cognitive differences between Chinese and Western dance within a multicultural environment, promote intercultural understanding, and enhance students’ knowledge of Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance as well as their appreciation of China’s diverse ethnic cultures.
