Rise for Goldsmiths in Guardian’s top 50

Goldsmiths, University of London has risen four places overall to be ranked 46th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2017, published today (Monday 23 May).

The university, which has a teaching satisfaction score of 89%, has also seen strong improvements in several subjects.

The Department of Computing has risen a huge 22 places in one year to be ranked 36th out of 102 universities teaching computer science.

The Department of Sociology is now 16th in the country out of 87 universities offering the subject – up from 35th in the 2016 league table. Other departments have carried on their success from last year.

With a ‘Guardian Score’ of 100%, for the second year in a row Goldsmiths has been named as the best university in the country to study DesignArt at Goldsmiths maintains its position as 5th best in the UK.
