I conduct research on psychotherapeutic processes, trauma, and digital mental health.

I am a counselling psychologist and senior lecturer at Goldsmiths. My clinical expertise centres on working with people with complex emotional needs, including those given a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder and those experiencing co-occurring substance use.

At Goldsmiths I work on a part-time basis. I coordinate clinical placements for the MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology. I teach on mental health diagnoses and clinical practice, and I supervise MSc research that focuses on clinical practice, psychotherapeutic processes, trauma, and digital mental health.

Academic qualifications

  • Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (PsychD), Surrey University, Guildford
  • MSc Child and Adolescent Mental Health, King's College, London
  • BSc Psychology, Panteion University, Greece

Research interests

My research focuses on psychotherapeutic processes and their application in different clinical contexts. I have published work on virtual reality relaxation for service users and staff in complex care services, attitudes toward stress and help-seeking among mental health professionals, and therapists’ constructions of shame. I am particularly interested in digital mental health, trauma, and the mechanisms underlying psychological change.

Professional projects

When I am not working at Goldsmiths, I work in private practice providing psychological therapy to adults. I also hold a Principal Psychologist role in a substance use service, offering clinical input for people with co-occurring difficulties. These roles complement my academic work and inform my teaching and supervision.
