With the assessments period finally coming to an end, it’s time to celebrate and enjoy quality time with your friends before heading home for the summer! Here are a few of my top tips:

1. Enjoy views of London at a rooftop bar

It’s the perfect season to gather with your friends at a rooftop bar, enjoy some cocktails, catch a sunset, and have a good time! Here are some of the best rooftop bars on offer.

2. Take a break from the city

There are plenty of places within easy reach of London by train that make for a lovely day trip. If you’d like to spend a day at the beach, you could head to Margate or Brighton. Alternatively, you can visit a picturesque town like Deal, Bath or Canterbury. Here are some more ideas for day trips.

3. Attend a music festival

What better way to celebrate the end of the academic year than attending a music festival with friends? During the upcoming months, multiple music festivals will be taking place across the city, and you can be sure to find something perfect for you. Here are some ideas for lovers of indie, reggae, techno, pop, R&B and more.

4. Have a chill board games night

If you’re looking to do something more low-key, a good way to relax with friends is to head to a board games café or bar. Friends, drinks and games is a combination that guarantees an evening of fun, and there are plenty of options for you to try!

5. Attend a free exhibition

Being on break doesn’t mean we can’t keep learning and expanding our knowledge! By now, you’ve probably already visited London’s famous museums and galleries like the Tate, V&A and the British Museum. However, an advantage of living in this city is that there are always new exhibitions, sometimes free! And heading to a cute café with friends afterwards always makes for a nice day out.
