Learning
Our teaching is led by experienced educators and researchers who bring real-world insights into the classroom. Programmes are designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and reflective practice.
You'll benefit from access to modern learning spaces - Education and Lifelong Learning has its own dedicated building, the Margaret McMillan Building.
You'll also have access to digital resources, and the Teachers' Centre which supports professional development.
In addition, you'll have access to specialist software, online learning platforms, and dedicated support for developing digital and entrepreneurial skills. Campus-wide services, including the Library, Careers Service, and Goldsmiths’ Digital Studios, provide additional training and resources for content production and communication.
Regular events and guest lectures feature prominent figures in education, the arts, politics and the media, giving you exposure to current debates and practices.
Graduates pursue careers in teaching, educational policy, research, business, law and community work. The department supports career readiness through placements and professional networks.
At Goldsmiths, you’ll immerse yourself in a subject you love within a welcoming and creative campus community.
Based in South East London, our vibrant setting connects you directly to the capital’s business, technology, and cultural networks. Your learning goes far beyond the classroom through partnerships, guest lectures, and real-world industry experience.
You’ll be supported by inspiring academics, dedicated staff, and fellow students who are passionate about making a difference. And because we’re in London – ranked the world’s number one student city (QS Best Student Cities 2025) – you’ll benefit from our close links with some of the capital’s leading creative and cultural organisations.
