Alumni Email

After leaving Goldsmiths, you can access a free alumni email. Use it to keep in touch with friends or provide a professional email address for CVs and job applications. Please note that 140 days after your course ends you will lose access to Office 365 and learn.gold (VLE).

If you experience any problems accessing your email, check our website for known problems. If you wish to reset your password, please email alumni (@gold.ac.uk) in the first instance. The Development and Alumni Office will put in your request with the Service Desk, who will be in touch with your new password. Please note that the IT Service Desk email does not receive non-Goldsmiths email.

Your course end date is from August 2019 onwards

You will receive an email in November/December 2019 asking you to apply to convert your @gold.ac.uk email to an Alumni Email.

Your course end date is June/July 2019

The deadline to convert your @gold.ac.uk email to an Alumni Email has passed. Find out more about your alumni email if you’ve left from June 2019.

You left Goldsmiths between 2015-December 2018

Your Email for Life has changed to an Alumni Email. You will need to let the Development and Alumni Office know that you wish you to keep your Goldsmiths email by Friday, 29 November 2019. You can do so by completing this form. Find out more about your alumni email if you’ve left between 2015 and December 2018.

New alumni email request

Due to a high volume of request, application for creating a new alumni email is currently closed and will not open until January 2020. This applies to all alumni.

learn.gold (VLE)

Once you have completed your course and become an alumni of Goldsmiths, you no longer have access to your student VLE account. It is also not possible to access the VLE unless you are a current student or member of staff.

Reunions and events: on campus and across the globe

Goldsmiths reunites with alumni in London, the UK and across the globe to celebrate our vibrant alumni community based all over the world. It includes Around the World in 7 Days, a series organised by local alumni volunteers in their cities across.

Alumni are welcome to attend events on campus. Join fellow alumni at events on campus and near you.

Lifelong learning: library membership and discounts on study

Library membership

You can continue to use the Library at Goldsmiths for free as a reference user, or if you would like to borrow books, there is a new and more affordable rate of £30 for three years. For new alumni (those who have left within three years), borrowing membership is free for three years after you’ve left Goldsmiths. You can also access the Library 24/7 and use the guest Wi-Fi.

Please note that alumni are currently unable to access computers. While on campus alumni can access most of the Library's online resources; however, are unable to access them remotely due to licensing restrictions.

Access alumni e-resources

Are you thinking of postgraduate study or want to continue to enrich your knowledge? Use the alumni portal to access e-resources wherever you are in the worldAlumni, including Study Abroad and LaSalle students, can access a 30% fee discount if you are a home/EU student or equivalent amount in pounds sterling if you are an international student. The discount applies to taught Masters programmes (MRes and PGCE programmes are not included) and for 2020 entry.

Please note that the alumni discount will be reviewed and is not guaranteed to be available for 2021 entry. Please email fees (@gold.ac.uk) for any questions.

Goldsmiths offers a range of short courses in the arts, social sciences, business, computing and more. You can receive a 15% discount on our short courses (see individual courses for terms and conditions). Email alumni (@gold.ac.uk) for the discount code.

Networking and careers support

Ongoing careers support

New alumni continue to have access to CareerSPACE and receive professional careers advice and resources for three years after they’ve left Goldsmiths. You will need to register for an alumni account to access this free service offered by the Goldsmiths Careers Service. Find out more about the careers support available to you.

On campus benefits and discounts

Curzon Goldsmiths

Our on-site cinema offers discounted tickets for alumni. To access this discount, all you need to do is present a printed copy of the alumni e-newsletter or your former student ID (if you still have it!). For listings and to make a booking go to the Curzon Goldsmiths website.

Club Pulse

Join Club Pulse, our campus gym, and receive a 20% discount on your monthly membership. Find out more about the facilities and classes available at Club Pulse.

University of London benefits

Goldsmiths alumni can access Senate House Library, a benefit offered by the University of London.

With alumni membership, you can borrow ten books and have off-site access to a range of e-resources. Membership for three months is £70 or £210 for one year.

To register for alumni membership, you will need to provide proof of graduation, which can include a degree certificate, academic transcript or your Goldsmiths alumni library card, along with photographic ID and proof of address. Register online.

Third party discounts

The Economist

You receive a 10% discount when you subscribe to The Economist, which offers insight and opinion on international news, politics, business, finance, science, technology and the connections between them.
