Keeping in touch: the latest news and email for life

Email for life
From 2015, graduating students automatically receive an ‘email for life’. Your student email account will remain active for 120 days after your course finishes. So long as you have logged into your account during that time, it will automatically convert into an alumni email account.
Please note that after your course finishes, if your account remains inactive for 120 days, it will be deactivated due to licensing restrictions. The account can be reactivated, but you will lose your email history and contacts.
If you left Goldsmiths before 2015, you can still access ‘email for life’. This is not an automatic process. Please email alumni (@gold.ac.uk) as we will need to put in a request to create a new Goldsmiths email to Service Desk on your behalf.
Please note that your incoming email address will be different than your student email address while at Goldsmiths and your outgoing email address will include ‘alumni’ in the prefix: @alumni.gold.ac.uk. You will not have access to your email history or contacts.
If you experience any problems accessing your account, check our website for known problems. Otherwise, please contact the Service Desk by phone at +44 (0)20 7919 7555 oror email alumni (@gold.ac.uk) and we can forward your request to Service Desk. Please note that the Service Desk and Help Desk emails are unable to receive non-Goldsmiths email.
Please note: Once you have completed your course and become an alumni of Goldsmiths, you no longer have access to your student VLE account. It is also not possible to access the VLE unless you are a current student or member of staff.
For any further queries about access to materials from your time as a student, please contact your department. For general queries about how the VLE works, please email talic (@gold.ac.uk).
Reunions and events: on campus and across the globe
Goldsmiths reunites with alumni in London, the UK and across the globe to celebrate our vibrant alumni community based all over the world. It includes Around the World in 7 Days, a series organised by local alumni volunteers in their cities across.
Lifelong learning: library membership and discounts on study
You can continue to use the Library at Goldsmiths for free as a reference user, or if you would like to borrow books, there is a new and more affordable rate of £30 for three years. For new alumni, borrowing membership is free for three years after you’ve left Goldsmiths. You can also access the Library 24/7 and use the guest Wi-Fi. Find out more on how to access the Library.
Discounts on study
Alumni, including Study Abroad and LaSalle students, can access a 30% fee discount if you are a home/EU student or equivalent amount in pounds sterling if you are an international student. The discount applies to taught Masters programmes and for 2019 entry.
Please note that the alumni discount will be reviewed and is not guaranteed to be available for 2020 entry.
Goldsmiths offers a range of short courses in the arts, social sciences, business, computing and more. You can receive a 15% discount on our short courses (see individual courses for terms and conditions). Email alumni (@gold.ac.uk) for the discount code.
Networking and careers support
