Sasha has co-edited a scholarly volume of Aubrey Beardsley’s Decadent Writings (forthcoming with the MHRA), and has written on topics as diverse as transnational decadent aesthetics and the legacies of Chornobyl for various publications, including British Art Studies, Modernist Cultures, Los Angeles Review of Books and The Ecologist.

Her recent contribution to the Oxford Handbook of Decadence discusses the decadent literature of eastern Europe.

A successful arts leader and cultural entrepreneur, Graham has successfully founded two new arts organisations in the UK over the last fifteen years and has worked as a public art consultant. From 2006 he developed Poet in the City as a successful ‘mixed funding’ model which achieved its selection as a National Portfolio Organisation by Arts Council England in 2010. Since 2014 Graham has been CEO of the Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation, a dynamic cross-arts organisation inspired by the French poets. As a public art consultant Graham delivered Pope’s Urn in 2015, a major piece of public art inspired by poetry, and wrote the official essay of support for the Farrell Review, calling for a new approach to the commissioning of public art.

Vlad has co-edited two scholarly volumes, The Culture of Translation in Romania and Ruralism and Literature in Romania, and has just finished his PhD on narratives and interaction in Romanian literature.

He is the founder of Z9Festival, one of Europe’s most relevant young poetry festivals, and has translated theory (Fredric Jameson and Sianne Ngai), poetry (Emily Berry and Sam Riviere, among many others), and fiction (Jack Kerouac and Chuck Palahniuk). 

He currently coordinates the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu Press while teaching narrative theory and world literature at the same university. 

Apart from his three collections of poetry published between 2012 and 2016, Alex has translated several books written by authors such as Fredric Jameson, Sianne Ngai, Alice Notley, Chuck Palahniuk, or Neil Gaiman.

He is an editor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu Press and co-organizes Z9Festival. He is also working on a PhD about maximalist novels at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.

Erica is the author of Gravity: Stories, Ariel's Gift: Ted Hughes, Sylvia Plath and the Story of Birthday Letters and Seizure, a novel; she is the editor of First Light: A Celebration of Alan Garner. Twice a judge of the Man Booker Prize, she was literary editor of The Times for 17 years and is now contributing literary editor for Harper’s Bazaar, a contributing writer for the New Statesman, as well as writing for the Financial Times, the Economist and the New York Times. She was the recipient of the Eccles British Library Writer’s Award in 2014, and Chief Engineer, her biography of Washington Roebling, builder of the Brooklyn Bridge, was published by Bloomsbury in 2017.

David has published books on Jean Vigo, James Joyce, William Blake, orientalism, and anarchism, as well as three books on decadence. Those books have had a major role in the development of decadence as an academic field of study, beginning with Decadence and the Making of Modernism (1995), Decadent Culture in the United States (2007), and, most recently, Decadence: A Very Short Introduction (2018). He is co-editor with Jane Desmarais of Decadence and Literature, a volume in the Cambridge Critical Concepts series (2019) and is currently working on the Oxford Handbook of Decadence (co-edited with Jane Desmarais and forthcoming in 2021).  He is also writing a book on Ernst Lubitsch's Trouble in Paradise for the BFI's Film Classics series, as well as another Very Short Introduction for Oxford University Press, this one on Bohemians.
